“Think of five things that make you happy every week”, that was my only New Year’s resolution. Sometimes it’s too easy to get caught up in negative feelings and forget about the nice little things we enjoy in life; and because I’m all about spreading positivity, instead of thinking about these happy moments, I will share them with you. Feel free to write your happy moments on the comment section!
Soft rainfall and zero wind equals the perfect rainy day. I especially like the isolation feeling rain creates; the house becomes cozier and, like most people, all I want to do to watch a movie under the blanket with some hot chocolate. Another thing I like about rainy days is that it creates white noise. I have ADD so I usually have to play specific types of music to concentrate, but on rainy days I can simply open the window and listen to the relaxing sound while enjoying the unique aroma it creates.
I’m not really a high maintenance person, I’m pretty chill when it comes to clothes — my best friend once told me “it’s like you don’t even try”, and she didn’t mean it as a compliment — but the one thing I absolutely love is doing my nails. I find the whole process, from choosing the color to waiting until they dry, very relaxing because when I do my nails it is the only thing I am concentrating on. I have turned it into me-time.
Being the huge Grey’s Anatomy fan that I am, I will forever be on the Shonda train. Lately I haven’t been up to date with the season’s premiers of shows that I like, so when I found out on Friday that there were 6 episodes of Scandal out I made it my weekend’s goal to watch them all. I just love Kerry Washington, she gets things done!
Note to self: catch up on How To Get Away With Murder
The burger joint
I am not a big meat eater, in fact, I was vegetarian for about 3 years and recently started eating meat again. I rarely cook it at home but I do eat it at restaurants, so this past weekend my boyfriend took me to a burger joint he swears by here in Paris, and I am glad to say he was right! They only make 4 or 5 different types of burgers and they taste like glory…I will definitely go back to that place.
Catching up with a friend
I have moved around A LOT so all my friends are spread across the globe. Talking to each other can sometimes be challenging but this weekend I was able to exchange a bunch of audios with my friend Sara. I know sending WhatsApp audios is not ideal, and although she lives in Spain skyping is not always an option as we’re both very busy people. Thank God for social media! The good thing about moving around so much is that you always know who your real friends are, they become your family and you know that no matter how many days go by, you’ll always be there for each other.
